This is a sketch I drew this morning. Enjoyed a well deserved 45 minutes drawing time while having
caffe-latte at the Waterstones bookstore surrounded by children books and of course babies and children. Apparently their cafe is next to the children book section which is a great place to sit and draw children illustration.
I designed this invite recently for four very beautiful 4 year old pirates. I enjoy creating little characters using cute photos and making them do what I want to do. I have done a couple more for family and friends in the past. I will post them here later...
"Plains, trains and automobiles! I like that this design moves from a happy smiling boat up through the scene to a plane in the sky, the vehicles are the staring characters. The composition with the road leading up the hill works well however the perspective does not always work."
Last summer I participated in Children's Vehicle Character Design Competion byTigerprint, a design company, who design greeting cards and stationary for
Marks and Spencer. I was so happy and excited to find that theychose me as a runner up but some how missed
sharing it here on my blog. Hereyou can see other winners of this competition.
